Peace Mass Transit (PMT), a prominent transport company in Nigeria, has announced the conclusion of a comprehensive refresher training program for 1,000 of its drivers, reaffirming its commitment to safety and customer satisfaction during the holiday season and beyond. Conducted in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the training aimed to equip drivers with essential skills and knowledge.
Running from October 19 to December 6, the program took place at PMT’s Emene workshop in Enugu and covered a diverse array of crucial topics. Developed in partnership with FRSC and PMT’s safety and customer service departments, the training focused on defensive driving techniques, traffic rules, vehicle maintenance, road signs, speed limits, accident prevention, passenger rights, and communication skills.
Mr. Nnamdi Asadu, PMT’s head of operations, highlighted the initiative’s importance in ensuring the safety of passengers and road users. He emphasized PMT’s longstanding commitment to driver training since its establishment in 1994 and how this refresher aligned drivers with industry best practices.
Addressing the drivers, Mr. Asadu urged them to apply the knowledge gained diligently and emphasized PMT’s zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that compromises safety or the company’s reputation.
He expressed gratitude to the FRSC for collaboration, commended the drivers for their dedication, and assured ongoing support through incentives and welfare packages.
Mr. Asadu invited the public to choose PMT for transportation, citing the company’s reliability, affordability, and safety across Nigeria. PMT boasts a fleet of over 3,000 well-maintained buses equipped with modern amenities like speed limiters, air conditioning, televisions, and tracking devices.
To enhance customer experience, PMT operates a dedicated customer care unit to handle complaints and feedback. They also offer an online booking platform for convenient ticket purchases and service information.
As the festive season approaches, Peace Mass Transit remains committed to providing safe and customer-centric travel experiences. The successful completion of the FRSC training reinforces PMT’s leadership in the transportation industry, ensuring passengers trust in the company’s commitment to their well-being.
