Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, issued an apology for the unintended bombing of Tundun Biri, a Kaduna State community.
In his statement before the House of Representatives Committee on Defence on Wednesday, Musa emphasized that the bombing was an unintended incident and assured that such an occurrence would not be repeated.
The unfortunate bombing incident allegedly resulted in the loss of over a hundred lives and numerous injuries in the community. President Bola Tinubu additionally urged for a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Speaking on the tragedy, Musa said, “We are taking steps to ensure that we address it and so that it doesn’t reoccur.
“We are meant to protect our citizens not to kill them. That is highly regrettable. We assure you that we will continue to work until everybody is free and there is no more threat to any life and property in Nigeria.”
