On Monday at the Dangote Agro Sack Area, Dangote Cement Plant in Ibese, Ogun State, tragedy struck as a truck driver, identified as Johnson Samson, collapsed inside his truck’s cabin. Samson, affiliated with Dangote Cement Transport at Ibese, had earlier complained of illness to his colleague Oharisi, prompting him to take a break and rest inside his parked truck at the factory’s agro sack area.
Concern arose among his colleagues when Samson didn’t return after a significant amount of time. They dispatched another colleague to check on him, only to discover him unconscious in the cabin. Swiftly, they rushed him to Jaji Clinic, Dangote Ibese, where a doctor pronounced him dead.
Ogun State Police Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, assuring that no signs of foul play were observed during the examination of the body. The deceased’s body has been deposited at the state hospital morgue for postmortem examination.
