NGO wants political crisis in Rivers State resolve

A non governmental organization (NGO), Rivers Bridge wants the political crisis in Rivers State resolved.

According to the NGO, all sons and daughters of Rivers State should come together to resolve the political crisis and restore peace in the state.

It would be recalled that Rivers State has been emboldened in political crisis of the governor, Fubura and his political father, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesome Wike.

Governor Fubura and his predecessor, Minister Nyesome Wike are in the struggle of who controls Rivers State politically.

However, reacting to the crisis the Rivers Bridge in a statement issued in Abuja over the weekend signed by the Convener Rufus Oba and Co-Convener,  Dr. Idah Felix Waboso, said, “ln the aftermath of recent political conflicts that have plagued Rivers State, a clarion call has been issued for true born sons, daughters, and residents of the state to rise above petty divisions and unite for the greater good. Enter THE RIVERS BRIDGE, an inclusive platform that seeks to connect all peoples, irrespective of their political affiliations, to foster governance, development, and progress in Rivers State.

“Distancing itself from partisanship and government influence, THE RIVERS BRIDGE provides a safe haven for passionate stakeholders to engage in open discussions on governance and politics. Here, the sole focus is on protecting and projecting the state, respecting the people’s mandate, and working towards a better future driven by unity and collaboration.

“With physical and online interactions, THE RIVERS BRIDGE aims to amplify the voices of all those who have the best interest of Rivers State at heart. The platform recognizes the need for proactive actions to achieve positive change and growth. By bridging the gap between leaders and the public, THE RIVERS BRIDGE ensures that every idea and perspective are heard and valued.

“To be a part of this initiative, one must possess a brave heart filled with passion for the progress of Rivers State. Our goal is to build strongholds at the grassroots, ensuring that every corner of the state is represented and involved in the development process.

Because according to Rufus oba, It is dangerous to fold your hands and watch not doing nothing as it often  said that those who sit in the middle get knocked down harder and faster.”
