Nigeria referees committee drops Abubakar Musa from officiating duty

Abubakar Musa has been suspended from refereeing duties by the Nigeria Referees Development Committee due to his misconduct during the Nigeria National League matchday three clash between Kebbi United and Sokoto United.

Mohammed Ameenu, the committee’s chairman, revealed this decision in an official letter, noting that Musa’s suspension is indefinite until further notice.

The match itself saw Sokoto United breaching the league’s regulations, resulting in the team facing a hefty fine of N1,050,000 for their unruly behavior.

Additionally, the club’s head coach, Mohammed Dan Asabe, and the goalkeeper trainer, Sheu Rilwan, received a two-month ban from the NNL in response to their involvement in the incident.
