Shettima emphasizes collaboration with private sector

Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized the critical role of the private sector in bolstering the foundation of the Nigerian government.

He reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to fostering an environment conducive to entrepreneurial endeavors and inventive initiatives. Shettima highlighted that this commitment underscores the President’s vision for Nigeria, focusing on eight key priority areas such as eradicating poverty, stimulating economic growth, generating employment opportunities, and ensuring fair access to capital.

Speaking at the inauguration of various projects in Anambra State—such as the Ijele 93.1 FM Radio Station, Phase Two of the Touch-a-Life Housing Project, and a meter production factory—the Vice President underlined the significance of these initiatives for the country’s development.

“This gathering is a reminder that the private sector forms the other half of the government’s crucial foundation. Whatever innovation we design, whatever ideas we explore, whatever interests we pursue, we cannot achieve our objectives if those for whom they are targeted are not carried along or in tune with our agenda,” he said.

VP Shettima praised Anambra State for its private-sector-driven development while promising the Nigerian government’s assistance in tackling the state’s environmental concerns.

He also lauded Governor Charles Soludo for appreciating the value of a strong business sector.
