AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli hailed Samuel Chukwueze for his spectacular display in Milan’s recent UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund. Despite a tough start since his arrival from Villarreal, Chukwueze showcased his class and scored his first goal for Milan with a brilliant solo effort, helping his team level the score before the half-time break. His all-round performance was outstanding, and he left a lasting impact before being substituted later in the match. This was a remarkable way for Chukwueze to make a statement and win over the fans at San Siro.
“I am happy; finally, he was decisive in the offensive phase. There are important signs of growth in him that will facilitate his integration,” Pioli commended.
Milan are bottom of Group F with five points from as many matches.
They will now need to win at Newcastle in a final group game and hope Dortmund stop PSG from having any chance of advancing to the round of 16.
