Núñez clause triggered after Liverpool draw with Man City

Liverpool will have to pay Benfica another €10m to Benfica for Darwin Núñez, the Daily Mirror reports.
Nunez joined Liverpool in July 2022 for an initial fee of €75m with €25m in potential add-ons. As part of the deal it was agreed that a €10m payment would become due after the Uruguay international made his 60th appearance for the club, which he did in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Manchester City.
The 24-year-old has scored a respectable 22 goals in all competitions for Liverpool since the start of last season. However, that was thrown into sharp relief on Saturday when Erling Haaland netted his 50th Premier League goal, and 70th overall, for City since joining them in the same transfer window as Nunez made his move to Anfield.
