Odion Ighalo, an experienced striker, scored his first hat-trick of the season for Al Wehda, helping the team beat Al Khaleej 3-1. The 34-year-old striker has now scored a total of eight goals in the Saudi Arabian league.
Ighalo opened the scoring just three minutes into the game. He then made it 2-1 for the home team with a powerful header in the 58th minute. On the 80th minute, he completed his treble with a penalty.
Thanks to Ighalo’s goals, Al Wehda is performing beyond expectations, currently sitting in ninth place in the standings with 19 points from 14 matches.
