Early on Sunday, a multiple-car accident unfolded at Car Park C along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, leaving no fewer than 13 individuals with injuries. The confirmation of the incident came from Mrs. Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun, as she briefed the media in Abeokuta.
Providing details, Okpe mentioned that the crash transpired at 4:55 am and was attributed to excessive speeding. The collision involved a total of five vehicles, comprising three trucks, a Toyota Corolla with the registration MUS 793 HM, and a Toyota Hiace bus bearing the registration number FG 369-F20. The unfortunate event unfolded with a total of 22 people directly affected by the impact.
The FRSC spokesperson explained that the injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital Mowe, for medical attention.
She reported that the state Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, had advised motorists to always apply caution while driving and also drive defensively.
