Monday Odigie, the head coach of Bendel Insurance, has praised goalkeeper Amas Obasogie for his performance despite the team’s 2-1 defeat against Enyimba.
The match took place at the Enyimba Stadium on Wednesday, with Obasogie back in Bendel Insurance’s starting lineup after fulfilling his national team duties.
Odigie acknowledged the need for improvement in future games and appealed to the club’s fans not to exert undue pressure on the team.
“Before Amas left he was doing the same thing he was doing,” he stated in a post-match chat.
“I’m interested in how my players are improving day after day. I want results, but if it doesn’t come Nigerians should learn how to show sportsmanship.
“The fans should enjoy the game if they come and watch.”
