Just In: A’Court declares Zamfara gov election inconclusive

The Court of Appeal, convening in Abuja, has ruled the Zamfara State governorship election as inconclusive.

Initially, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Dauda Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party as the victor.

However, the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bello Matawalle, contested the March 18 election’s outcome at the tribunal, which dismissed his petition for lacking merit.

In a recent verdict, delivered on Thursday, the Court of Appeal declared the election inconclusive. It mandated INEC to conduct a new election specifically in two local governments.
