Rivers United’s Korvah gets invitation for Liberia’s World Cup qualifiers

Rivers United’s talented forward, Albert Korvah, has once again been recognized by Liberia as he receives an invitation to represent the Lone Stars in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. Liberia is set to face Malawi and Equatorial Guinea in a doubleheader scheduled for November 17 and 20, respectively.

This marks Korvah’s third call-up to the national team, following his debut appearance for the Lone Stars in September during a friendly match against Ghana. The young forward continues to make strides in his international career, showcasing his prowess on the football field.

The 24-year-old forward has featured once for Rivers United this season during the matchday seven home draw against Sunshine Stars.

Korvah played a crucial role in Stanley Egunma’s side’s qualification for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, teammate Mark Theo Gibson was left out of the Liberian coach Ansu Keita’s selection despite making his debut last month for the Lone Stars.
