Reflecting on the match, Guardiola expressed satisfaction with his players for maintaining high standards, even after achieving the Treble in the previous season. “We are top of the league and qualified in the Champions League.
“From where we have come from [last season], when you can tend to be more soft, it is the complete opposite. It hasn’t happened.
“If you expect to come here and win 7-0, you are wrong. Everyone wants to beat us. You say there is nothing to lose for them because if Chelsea loses to City, it’s normal, City is a fantastic team,” Guardiola said.
