EPL: Don’t complicate things – Berbatov advises Man Utd star

Dimitar Berbatov, the former Manchester United striker, has offered guidance to Rasmus Højlund, urging the 20-year-old to maintain a strong work ethic at Old Trafford without over complicating matters.

Berbatov is advising the young attacker to stay true to his capabilities and concentrate on improving his weaknesses rather than fixating on the outcomes.

In his words to Betfair, Berbatov, who scored 56 goals in 149 games for Manchester United, stated: “My advice to Hojlund is to not overcomplicate things. Just adhere to your true self and the qualities that have brought you success in the past. Focus on enhancing your weaknesses, and it will ultimately yield results.”

“As I said before, that paying off needs to be right now because he’s at Man United and he’s not going anywhere.

“The only thing [Hojlund] needs to do, alongside Mason Mount, is to keep working on the training pitch.

“They need to block out the noise from the media and the fans and concentrate on their training. The only solution is to continue working your a**e off.”

Højlund joined Man United from Atalanta in the summer.
