Members of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum are presently in a meeting with the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, at his office in Abuja.
The governors, under the leadership of Bala Muhammed, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi state, arrived at Wike’s office at approximately 12:40 p.m. Accompanying him were the governors of Adamawa (Ahmadu Fintiri), Plateau (Caleb Muftwang), and Taraba (Agbu Kefas).
Shortly after their arrival, Wike led the governors into a closed-door meeting in his office.
The purpose of this meeting is for the governors to address the ongoing crisis in Rivers state, stemming from alleged attempts by the minister to initiate the impeachment of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state, and to intervene in the situation.
