The ongoing turmoil in Rivers State takes a new twist, as 24 out of the 32 lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly have reportedly endorsed the impeachment notice targeting Governor Sim Fubara.
This development follows an incident earlier today when the House of Assembly complex was set ablaze by unidentified individuals amid speculation that the state governor was to face impeachment proceedings.
The House will forward the impeachment notice to the State Chief Judge, who will establish a judicial panel to assess the allegations brought against the governor.
