The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State Chapter, Hon. Chris Hassan has called on the people of the state to remain calm and be law-abiding following the appeal court which ordered a re-run of Plateau North Senatorial District and Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency.
It would be recalled that the Appealed Court sitting in Abuja had on Sunday nullified the election of the Senate Minority Leader Sen. Simon Mwadkwon and Hon. Musa Agah Representing Jos North/ Bassa Federal constituency and ordered a rerun.
However, Hon. Hassan in a Press Statement signed and issued in Jos by his Personal Assistant on Media and Protocol Hon. Kefas Sumdi said the Party is not deterred by the judgement.
“We are not deterred, we have been victorious, and we will always remain committed to sustaining our victories in the state since 1999.”
Hassan believed that PDP won the elections convincingly in the National/State Assemblies elections and has no doubt that plateau citizens would turn out en masse to vote for his party in the coming rerun.
PDP won the election clean and clear, if we go back to the poll 100 times, PDP will still win convincingly.
The party legal team is studying the judgement of the appellant court and in days a communication will be made public.
The Chairman offered a prayer in the Context of Psalms 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
He assures his teeming supporters this trial will turn out to be a testimony and thanksgiving by His Grace.
