Kogi Accord Gov. Candidate, Emphasizes the Importance of Respecting Traditional Institutions

Admiral (retd) Jibrin Usman, the Governorship candidate of the Accord Party in Kogi State for the November 11 election, has emphasized the importance of honoring traditional institutions. Jibrin underscored that for the state to progress and develop, it is essential to continue respecting these traditional bodies.

He conveyed this message on Wednesday when extending his congratulations to King Sediq Ahmed, the newly coronated Ejeh of Ankpa community in the state. Usman, along with other notable figures, celebrated the monarch’s coronation and encouraged him to leverage his influence to further advance the state’s development.

The coronation ceremony, which marked the commencement of the king’s reign, was held in Ankpa local government of the state last Saturday. Usman commended the monarch and reiterated his deep respect and admiration for traditional institutions.

While wishing Ahmed a peaceful and prosperous reign, Usman added “I congratulate and implore the monarch to in his capacity, bring about transformation into the community and further ensure residents of the enjoy adequate security.

He called on residents of the LGA to support and work for the growth of the community.

“The development of the community is paramount and there is a need for every resident to join hands with the monarch, to make that happen,” he said.

Jibrin noted that traditional institutions in the state must continue to be respected, should the state is to experience real growth and development.

King Sediq, a couple of months ago, was appointed as the Ejeh of Ankpa by the Kogi state government.
