Niger Republic has banned all exports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) including from Nigeria until further notice.
The Niger government gave this directive according a statement on Tuesday reported by Reuters.
The Niger government further directed that national production should be used to supply the domestic market, adding that in case of surplus, special authorization can be requested to export it.
Niger normally exports its surplus petroleum gas to neighbouring Nigeria.
