During his Senate screening, the Kaduna State ministerial nominee, Abbas Balarabe, collapsed.
Following his presentation to the lawmakers, Balarabe collapsed while receiving praise from one of the Kaduna senators. Senate President GodsWill Akpabio immediately called for assistance, shouting, “Bring water and sugar. Call Dr. Musa.”
Subsequently, Akpabio called for a closed-door session to address the situation.
Balarabe had been nominated as a replacement for the former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and his nomination was conveyed in a letter read by Senate President GodsWill Akpabio at the plenary on Tuesday.
Dr. Jamila Ibrahim and Ayodele Olawande were also nominated by the president as Minister of Youths and Minister of State for Youths, respectively.
