FCT Police Arrest 14 for Spreading False Information, Disrupting Public Peace in Missing Organs Case

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has apprehended and subsequently charged 14 men to court for falsely alleging that certain innocent residents were responsible for the disappearance of their genitals. This unfounded claim resulted in a series of mob incidents targeting more than 10 individuals in the nation’s capital over the past few weeks.

Commissioner of Police for the FCT, Haruna Garba, disclosed these developments on Tuesday during a press briefing at the command headquarters. He highlighted that the command had received over 10 cases, with most occurring in the Garshi, Gwagwalada, and Kwali areas of the FCT, some of which escalated into mob violence by youths.

He, however, explained that no lives were lost in the reported incidents, adding that when the false alarmists were taken to the hospital for evaluation, medical tests conducted on them by medical experts revealed that their male organs were intact and also very much active.

CP Garba said, “The FCT Police Command has recorded over 10 cases of alleged disappearance of male organs across the territory and the escalating incidents of mob action by irate youths. It took the intervention of the Police Command to prevent the loss of lives and property and restore law and order.

“Fourteen suspects who claimed that their male organs had disappeared were taken to the hospital where the medical doctor confirmed that their organs were intact and active. Consequently, they were charged in court for giving false information and inciting public disturbance.

“I wish to seize this opportunity to appeal to the residents of FCT to warn their wards and children to desist from raising false alarm. In addition, they are enjoined not to resort to jungle justice or mob action as innocent lives may be lost in the process.”
