Just days after becoming the center of attention due to a controversial TikTok video posted on Napoli’s official page, striker Victor Osimhen has taken a stand to reassure his loyalty to the club. Although Napoli had previously clarified the post as unintentional, it left many of the striker’s fans feeling dissatisfied. However, the Nigerian player has now quelled the tensions by restating his dedication to the Serie A champions.
He described his journey in the Italian city of Naples as exciting.
“Coming to the City of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me. The People of Napoli have shown me so much love and kindness, and I will not allow anyone to come between us,” he wrote on Instagram Sunday.
Osimhen also debunked certain accusations against the club’s supporters describing them as untrue while also appreciating the support he’s received especially from Nigerians on the the matter.
The 24-year old scored his fifth Serie A goal in Napoli’s 4-0 win away at Lecce on Saturday.
