The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has clarified that a viral amendment price list is not of its origin. WAEC’s Public Relations Officer, Moyosore Adeyegbe, confirmed that the Council did not alter the date of birth.
Earlier on Tuesday, a document displaying an amendment price list featuring the WAEC name and logo circulated widely on social media.
The document outlined various amendment requests along with their associated fees, including corrections to the date of birth (N70,000), attestation of results (N80,000), correction of name (N30,000), correction of gender (N30,000), and confirmation of results (N39,000), among others.
Adeyegbe said, “Please note that this document did not emanate from WAEC-Nigeria. The Council still does not entertain requests for date of birth amendment.”
