A portion of the road that connects the Ikotun roundabout to Ejigbo and nearby communities in Lagos State has collapsed. Local residents reported that the road, which is situated next to a canal, caved in following heavy rainfall on Saturday, September 16.
Motorists traveling on this route were observed using a single lane as they navigated the damaged section of the road. According to residents, the road had been gradually deteriorating due to erosion over the years. They also mentioned that despite multiple complaints to the government, no action had been taken to address the issue.
