Nollywood actor and film producer, Yul Edochie, has expressed his profound gratitude and astonishment after receiving an award and a title from the Muslim community, Arewa Youths.
The prominent actor, who has relocated to Abuja following his separation from his wife May Edochie, shared that a delegation from the Northern Youths Consultative Forum visited his office in Abuja to bestow this honor upon him.
Yul Edochie proudly announced that he was conferred with the title of “Garkuwan Martasan Arewa,” which translates to “Shield and Protector of Northern Youths” and “Icon of Nation Building.”
He went on to explain that this recognition was a gesture of appreciation for his significant contributions to nation-building, youth empowerment, and socioeconomic and political development.
“A few days ago I received a delegation from the Northern Youths Consultative Forum, in my office in Abuja.
“They honored me with an award and title: GARKUWAN MARTASAN AREWA. Which means, SHIELD AND PROTECTOR OF NORTHERN YOUTHS AND ICON OF NATION BUILDING. In appreciation of my contribution to nation building, youth empowerment, socio-economic & political development, astute participation in good governance for the benefit of Humanity and Nigeria”.

In a previous post, Yul Edochie had shared a delightful moment when he was serenaded by fans at a bank in Abuja. The actor was deeply touched by their warm gesture and captured the heartwarming scene in a video. His young fans showered him with praises, addressing him with titles like “Odogwu 1” and “Ijele.”
Feeling quite proud, Yul Edochie couldn’t resist a bit of bragging. He mentioned that since his arrival in the city, his fans have been nothing short of amazing, reaffirming the strong connection between him and his supporters.
