Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has granted approval for the appointment of Prince Sefiu Olawale Oyebola as the Aseyin of Iseyin.
This announcement was made through a memo signed on Thursday, utilizing the powers vested in the Governor by subsections 1 and 2 of the Chiefs’ Law, Cap. 28, Volume I, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.
The appointment follows a series of processes outlined by the state’s existing laws regarding the ascension to royal thrones.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Olusegun Olayiwola, conveyed this information through a statement.
Governor Makinde extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Aseyin-Elect and expressed his hopes that his tenure would bring about significant developments for Iseyin.
