PEPT: They want military takeover, interim govt – Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani Kayode, a former minister of aviation, has expressed his opinion regarding claims that Tinubu/legal Shettima’s team prepared the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which was issued last Wednesday.

A copy of the ruling allegedly made its way to the President’s legal counsel prior to its official delivery.

The charges, according to the former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leader, are “just ludicrous.”

He asserts that this is unquestionably the most nefarious, violent, overt, and vicious assault on the independence of the court in the nation.

Fani-Kayode added that Babatunde Ogala, SAN, the Tinubu legal team’s coordinator, had already provided an explanation for the inscription and phrasing at the top of a copy of the ruling that alluded to the President’s attorneys.

According to him, those asking various questions and scrutinising the judgement were doing so in an attempt “to provoke anger, disorder, violent protests, anarchy and chaos in the land.”

He said that such people were doing this “in an attempt to engender an Arab spring/EndSARS type of operation in our country, annul the election and justify a military takeover and the formation of an Interim National Government.”

“…Simply put, that is their plan and agenda but they will surely fail,” the former minister wrote on social media platform, X.
