The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal has dismissed allegations of forgery and conviction made against President Bola Tinubu by the Peoples Democratic Party and its 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
During the ruling on a motion filed by the respondents, the court determined that the petitioners did not specify the constitutional requirement that Tinubu allegedly failed to meet in order to contest the election.
Additionally, a member of the five-man panel, Moses Ugo, removed certain paragraphs from the petition that accused Kogi State Governor and Friday Adejo, purportedly a Local Government Chairman in Kogi State, of electoral irregularities. However, the petitioners failed to include them as parties in the petition.
