The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has removed approximately 17 paragraphs from the petition filed by Peter Obi and the Labour Party.
The court eliminated these paragraphs due to their vagueness and generic nature. Justice Abba Mohammed, a member of the tribunal’s five-member panel, delivered the lead judgment.
Peter Obi and the Labour Party are the complainants in the petition, identified as CA/PEPC/03/2023, challenging the election that led to Bola Tinubu’s inauguration as president on May 29.
The petitioners had raised allegations of irregularities and stated their intention to rely on spreadsheets, inspection reports, and forensic analysis submitted with the petition during the trial. Further details will follow.
