President Bola Tinubu has arrived in New Delhi, the capital of India, for a six-day official visit. During his visit, he will attend the G-20 Leaders’ Summit and engage in various high-level meetings and engagements with world leaders and business executives.
The President’s aircraft touched down at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, and his visit is scheduled from September 9 to 10, 2023. Prior to the summit, President Tinubu will participate in roundtable talks with about 20 business leaders from various sectors and hold bilateral meetings with leaders from India, South Korea, Brazil, and Germany.
One of the key objectives of the visit is to attract global capital and increase foreign direct investments in Nigeria. The President will also meet with the Nigerian community in India during his stay.
President Tinubu is accompanied by several government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment. He is expected to return to Abuja immediately after the summit concludes on September 10.
