Ansu Fati, the 20-year-old Spanish international, has officially joined Brighton on a season-long loan, with the agreement not including a buy option. Fati will spend the upcoming season at the American Express Community Stadium.
As part of the deal, Brighton will cover 80% of his Barcelona contract, spanning over 10 months until the end of June, amounting to £160,000 per week and a total of £7 million.
Fati has amassed over 100 appearances for the La Liga giants since his debut at the age of 16 in August 2019.
Brighton’s coach, De Zerbi, on the transfer, said, “This is a great deal for all of us. I am sure Ansu will help us to reach a new target and we can help him get back at the level he deserves to be” says.
