President Bola Tinubu is currently locked in a meeting with the President of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Omar Touray; leader of the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and the National Security Adviser (NSA) to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu over the political logjam in Niger Republic.
The meeting is part of efforts to defuse the political crisis in Niger Republic.
A source revealed that the meeting aimed to prevent armed conflict in response to the Niger Republic crisis, despite no brief to the media on the agenda.
