Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) may have come hard on Big Brother Naija All Stars reality TV show housemate, Seyi Awolowo for his harmful comment, some of his fans have also berated the TV reality star for throwing caution to the wind when he said he is training his son to have sex with peoples’ daughter.
Although, social media have been awash with reactions, Seyi’s misogynistic comment could cost him dearly in Sunday’s eviction show if feelings among his followers are anything to go by. No doubt, he has been struggling to stay afloat for the past three weeks with the votes not coming in. It could get worse this weekend as his hopes now hang by the thread considering the huge damage the comment has done to his image as a whole.
During a discussion with fellow housemates, Seyi said that he would encourage his sons to “run train” on people’s daughters. According to dictionary.com, “to run train (or run a train) refers to when multiple men have sex with a woman one after the other, with or without consent.”
This comment has been widely condemned by viewers and social media users, who have accused Seyi of promoting rape culture and objectifying women.
Seyi has also spoken of his desire to “slap” fellow housemate Ilebaye. Viewers are calling for him to be disqualified from the show.
Seyi needs to be cautious with his use of language most especially on national and international TV
