A'Ibom legislative leaders laud Gov Eno over Archibong's reappointment

Leaders of legislative councils in the 31 local government areas of Akwa ibom State have expressed deep seated gratitude to Governor Umo Eno over the reappointment of Hon. Frank Archibong  as Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

The group conveyed this on  Monday during a courtesy visit to the commissioner at his office in Uyo, the State capital.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the Leader, Oruk Anam legislative council, Rt Hon. Sunday Festus, said that the group was on a courtesy call to the commissioner over his reappointment, adding that Governor Eno’s action was highly commendable and in tandem with his ARISE Agenda.

“We came to thank and congratulate you on your reappointment, a news we highly anticipated. As humans, We were worried about who will be sent to the Ministry, because we wanted someone that understands our language and problems”, He said.

He further appealed for a stronger working relationship between the councillors and the Ministry, stressing that they have all it takes to contribute immensely to the growth of the State as well as help in actualizing the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno.

Responding, the Commissioner, Hon. Archibong, appreciated the leaders of council for the timely visit, stressing that such visit was a morale booster and will further strengthen him to do even more towards having a stronger working relationship with the Councilors for the development of the State.
