Adebiyi Samuel, 34, was detained by Amotekun Corps agents in Ogun State for the suspected murder of his wife, Ogungbe Serah.
At Lekki Phase II in Lagos, Samuel is accused of killing his 27-year-old wife before escaping to Ogun State.
The suspect was detained on Monday at Ijebu-Igbo in the state’s Ijebu North Local Government Area, according to a statement released on Thursday in Abeokuta by the Amotekun Corps’ deputy commander, Aina Oluwakayode.
Oluwakayode stated that the suspect had admitted to committing the crime and that he will shortly be turned over to the police for additional questioning and possible prosecution.
