EPL: Saka Has Amazing Quality – Says Nketiah

Arsenal’s striker, Eddie Nketiah, has praised his teammate, Bukayo Saka, hailing his exceptional quality as “astonishing” after the England winger’s standout performance that earned him the Man-of-the-Match title during the Gunners’ 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Nketiah was the scorer of the opening goal in the 26th minute, while Bukayo Saka extended the lead to 2-0 just six minutes later with a powerful strike from beyond the penalty area.

During an interview with TNT, as cited by talkSPORT, Nketiah discussed his own goal and celebrated Saka’s impressive contribution to the match.

“Unreal! We know he’s got that kind of quality, we’re really happy to have him in our team, and we’re delighted to get the win and help him contribute as well,” Nketiah said.

“It was a great bit of skill by Martinelli to get through. When it came [to me], it was just about being calm and getting that half a yard and then obviously it was a good strike –happy it went in.

“We had a really good start to the first half and two scored two good goals and obviously they crept back into the game after making a few late changes. Obviously, it was a nervy finish and we deserved the three points,” he said.

In the 2023/24 season, Bukayo Saka scored a single goal in two appearances for Arsenal. Similarly, Nketiah has also found the net once in two matches.

As of matchday one, Arsenal holds the third position on the Premier League standings, having secured three points and a positive goal difference of one.

Their upcoming fixture in the Premier League is against Crystal Palace, scheduled for Monday, August 21, 2023, at Selhurst Park.
