The 14th Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, paid a visit and held a confidential discussion with General Tchani, the leader of the Niger Republic’s Military Junta, to confer on the prevailing circumstances within the country.
The purpose of Sanusi II’s trip to Niger remains uncertain, especially given the ongoing dispute between Niger and ECOWAS, as well as the severed diplomatic ties between Niger and Nigeria.
