First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has distributed food stuff, clothes and other household items to Nana Berry Orphanage and Children Home in New Karu, Nasarawa state through her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) pet project.
The Senate President’s wife, Mrs Ekaette Akpabio, who presented the items on behalf of the first lady, in company of other wives of Senators, said the motive was to appreciate the Founder of the orphanage, Mrs Aisha Kuami, for her commitment to the children.
According to her, the gesture is part of her humanitarian activities to reach the nation through the RHI that focuses on hospitality, boosting education, and reaching vulnerable women, children and youths.
“We want to thank you. I can only say on behalf of our mother, Oluremi, who sent us to bring a lot of goodies to the children and to thank you for praying for her and President Bola Tinubu and the nation.
“Our mother’s Renewed Hope Initiative is to give hope to the hopeless, give hope to those that are in need, this is what she has started before the official unveiling.
“That is how she will go round the country reaching out to people like you who are taking care of our children; the future generation.’’
