England defender, Laura James has told Super Falcons to be ready for Three Lionesses onslaught when both countries meet at the knockout stage of the Women’s World Cup on Monday.
Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated clash, James, who is the sister of Chelsea wingback, Recce James, stated that she is looking forward to improving his performance against Nigeria.
“I am looking to improve and get better in this World Cup.
“Each day, each game, I’m looking to improve and get better, and there’s many more years of improvement to come. I can always get better. I just need to stayfocused,’ James stated.
James scored twice in the Three Lionesses’ 6-1 mauling of China in their final group game, but she admitted that she is yet to reach her peak in the tournament.
“I’m happy for the team and everyone is buzzing, and we’re looking forward to going into the next round. I felt free, whether I’m on the wing or in the middle, I’m just happy to be on the pitch playing and enjoying my football. I’m happy I can contribute to goals as well,” the 21-year-old stated
