As the economic hardship bites harder following the removal of fuel subsidy, President Bola Tinubu has announced his decision to address Nigerians by 7pm on Monday (today).
Dele Alake, the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy to the President made the disclosure in a statement on Monday.
The statement enjoined all broadcast and other electronic media outlets to link up with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria for coverage.
The President has come under intense bashing following some economic decisions that have left the masses grappling with hardship.
His address to the nation will now come two days before the proposed nationwide strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a broadcast to the nation on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 7 pm.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” the statement reads.
