Guber polls: PDP unveils 363 member campaign team form 3 states, Bayelsa, Kogi, Imo

In preparation for the upcoming Governorship Elections in Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo States, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee, NWC, has established a 363-member campaign council to coordinate its activities in these three states.

According to a document signed and released yesterday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the Bayelsa State team boasts the highest number of party leaders, with 122 members. Imo State follows closely with 121 members, while Kogi State has 120 members on its team.

Governor Kefas Agbu of Taraba State will chair the committee for Bayelsa State, with Chenedu Nwoko serving as Deputy Chairman. Other notable party leaders, including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Senator Seriake Dickson, PDP’s Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja, and former Delta State Governor Chief James Ibori, among others, have been nominated to serve on the committee.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has been appointed to lead the committee responsible for managing the Kogi State election campaign.. The deputy chairman of the committee will be Plateau State Governor Caleb Muftwang. The committee also includes prominent members such as Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, former Senate President David Mark, and former PDP National Chairman Ahmadu Ali, among others.

Zamfara State Governor Lawal Dauda will head the campaign for the Imo State election, with Umo Eno, Akwa Ibom State Governor, serving as Deputy Chairman. The committee also includes former Senate President and Acting Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees Adolphus Wagbara, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Emeka Ihedioha, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, Sen. Sam Egwu, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Chief Achike Udenwa, and Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State, among others.

The inauguration of these committees is scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, at the National Executive Committee Hall in the National Secretariat, barring any last-minute changes.
