Former Minister of Information Labaran Maku continues to live on the edge after he escaped death over the weekend when men of the underworld raided his residence in Akwanga, iwitnesslive.com gathered.
The attack which happened around 7.50 pm left three of his security guards injured by the so-called bandits who showed up at his residence armed to the teeth.
Incoming report revealed that the bandits who communicated in Hausa language started shooting sporadically in the air when they were denied entry into house.
“They ordered me to open the entrance gate. When I resisted because I did not know who they were, they started shooting and jumped the fence into the compound,” the guard said.
Reacting to the attack, the former minister confirmed that Friday’s incident makes it the third time in one month his residence came under attacked by bandits.
