On Tuesday, the Oyo State House of Assembly made the decision to suspend Taoreed Adedigba, the Chairman of the Akinyele Local Government area, on grounds of alleged gross misconduct and financial misappropriation.
In response, the assembly directed the Vice-Chairman to assume the responsibilities of the council while assigning the Secretary to take charge of Local Council Development Area One and the Assistant Secretary to oversee Local Council Development Area two.
Additionally, the Assembly instructed the Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, commonly referred to as Agba Egbe, to temporarily step aside from his position.
