Joshua Mike Bamiloye, the son of popular drama evangelist Mike Bamiloye, has expressed his belief that genuine Christians should not attend secular concerts. He specifically mentioned shows by artists such as Davido, Wizkid, Rema, and others, stating that these events should not attract those who consider themselves devout followers of Christ.
As a music producer known as Jay Mikee, he took to Twitter to emphasize the inappropriateness of devout Christians participating in such gatherings.
Recognizing that his statement may elicit diverse reactions, especially from non-believers, Joshua Mike Bamiloye acknowledged that his viewpoint would resonate with those who are guided by the Holy Spirit, enabling them to establish important boundaries.
“Honestly, if you consider yourself a genuine Christian, it’s not appropriate to participate in shows or concerts by secular artists like Davido, Wizkid, Rema, etc.
“Some might argue against this view, but those who are guided by the Holy Spirit understand where to set boundaries,” he stated.
