The former governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and President Bola Tinubu are currently having a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The two met the day before at a state reception that Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hosted for Ambode on June 29.
Sanwo-Olu’s June 14 visit to his predecessor’s home to honor his 60th birthday is thought to have signaled the beginning of Ambode’s alleged comeback to the center of Lagos politics.
This meeting is thought to be a way to wrap off conversations about President Tinubu considering Ambode for a position in his administration.
Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, was also in attendance.
