After the release of Mark Zuckerberg’s new social networking app, Threads, many Nigerian celebrities and influencers have quickly embraced the platform.
Nollywood actress Mercy recently joined the app, which is positioned as a competitor to Twitter, and expressed her reaction to the number of followers she gained within 24 hours on Instagram.
She shared a screenshot from the new social platform, expressing concern about the seemingly sinister number displayed as her followers, which read 666. Mercy pleaded with her fans to follow her so that the figure would change from 66.6K.
She wrote: “Abeg, I dey fear this number wey my Followers dey. Make una Follow me small on @threadsapp make e change. Abeg 666 bawo?”
