CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Police, has indicated that the force will take action against more pranksters involved in outrageous pranks.
Olumuyiwa made this statement on Tuesday night while expressing his disapproval of a viral prank video.
The Police PRO shared a video of a prank where a prankster released a dog on a commuter who had chased him to his compound after being whipped while on a bike.
In a retweet of the video, the FPRO commented, “You see am? If he’s arrested now, many will still be attacking the police, that it’s a business. Imagine… anyway, every day for the thief, a day for the owner. Make em dey do am dey go.”
In light of recent events, an Oyo-based skit maker known as Trinity Guy has been arrested for engaging in “immoral pranks” despite repeated warnings from the police regarding his extreme prank videos.
Following his arrest, Trinity Guy was brought before an Oyo State Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, where he was charged with alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old minor. He has been remanded in custody pending further legal proceedings.
