The duo of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and his Kwara State counterpart, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have thrown their weight behind recent economic policies adopted by President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at the reception organized to welcome the President who was returning to Lagos for the first time since becoming the nation’s no.1 citizen, Governor Sanwo-Olu hinged his submission on Tinubu’s wealth of economic experience, stressing that the country is heading towards a positive direction.
He said that the support of the state governors was important for the realization of the dream of a better Nigeria.
Similarly, Gov. Abdul Rahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara assured that the president has the full backing of state governors support, adding that the urgent need to reposition Nigeria’s economy is paramount considering the nation’s poor state.
“The removal of the petroleum subsidy and reversal of the arbitrary exchange regime was the right step in repositioning the country,” AbdulRazaq, who is also the Chairman, of Nigeria Governors Forum, said
