It appears that the long-held wish of Baba Alapini Osa is on the verge of becoming a reality, as Nigerians have responded to the plea for help from the veteran actor.
Comedian Kamo, who led the fundraising efforts for Yoruba movie veteran Lalude’s car, announced on June 16th that Alapini Osa also desired a car from his fans.
According to the skit maker, Alapini Osa reached out to him after he and some fans bought a car for Lalude.
Kamo organized a live session on Facebook to seek donations and has so far raised N1,178,610 million for Alapini’s new car. He confirmed this update on Sunday.
In a post, Kamo expressed gratitude to all those who contributed and urged for further support. He emphasized that no amount is too small or too big to assist this legendary actor.
Shortly after, Kamo shared a video featuring Alapini, who expressed his gratitude to the fans who had sent him money thus far. Alapini, known for his exceptional portrayal of herbalist roles in movies, appeared joyous as he chanted IFA incantations and thanked his supporters, as well as other veteran actors like Lalude, Pariolodo, and Iya Gbonkan.
